The company offers a range of value added solutions for IP and TDM networks and has installed it's products in over 60 countries. The company is now seeking 4 graduates to train as Telecom Support Engineers. Initially these roles will be for software support for Telecoms with the possibility to later on go on to software development (after around 1- 2 years).For this role you will need to be IT literate and have an interest in telecoms / software support. You will have a degree in a subject such as IT, Engineering,Computer Science or Maths. Candidates will need a logical mind, excellent communication skills and be well presented. You will need to be based in Berkshire (or able to relocate there), have a full UK driving license (or in the process of getting a driving license) have good A-level results (e,g 3 C's and above) and a full British passport. The company will consider both graduates from 2007 and candidates who are graduating in 2008. This is an excellent graduate position within an established dynamic company, with good traing and career prospects.
Job Description:
providing expert technical support to clients when required assist with day-to-day activities of Engineering Services projects and track project progress producing test schedules, and carrying out in-house and external testing of hardware and software status and technical review meetings with clients performing on-site installations of the clients hardware and software systems when required provide technical input during the product SDLCs act as a liaison with the Development Engineering teams act as liaison with component suppliers assisting with software development as and when required assist project management as and when required
The successful candidate will be an engineering or science graduate or maths or computers, with a full UK driving licence (or taking driving lessons), full UK passport will need Bs and Cs or above for A-levels and presentable appearance. Previous experience is not necessary. There is on-call and shifts.
