Established for over 15 years our client is a dynamic, expanding telecommunications company which installs, maintains and supports voice and data solutions. The company is as an accredited partner of world class suppliers such as Avaya, LG, Microsoft, ZyXEL and has an excellent story to tell.
There is now a requirement for an additional field engineer to join the team. For this role it is essential the successful candidate is an experienced field network engineer with excellent data networking skills and proven experience in Cisco-Routers, Ethernet Switches, VOIP and Microsoft.
The more practical experience in the following areas the better:
·Firewalls and Security
Experience of setting up and management of Cisco and/or Zyxel Cisco firewalls
· Servers
Experience of setting up servers including Microsoft exchange and web servers
· Routers
Experience in configuring Cisco and/or Zyxel routers and setting up port forwarding
·Switches
Knowledge of Cisco and/or Zyxel switch hardware, switch management and creating VLAN's
· Wireless
Knowledge of WLAN, setting up Cisco and/or Zyxel wireless.
The successful candidate will be CCNA accredited and if you have experience of telecoms e.g. Avaya IP Office or LG systems this is a plus not essential.
The ideal living location for this position is Gloucestershire or surrounding areas e.g. Swindon, Worcester, Bristol (ideally based within a 30 mile radius of Gloucester). This is a mixed and varied role involving remote diagnostics, client support, installation, commissioning and maintenance. For the right candidate the role has excellent career prospects.
It is essential you have strong communication skills, are well presented with a flexible positive attitude and good proactive problem solving skills. The role would suit a keen, hardworking motivated candidate who wants to develop their career within a dynamic and ambitious company. Benefits: Basic: £25K + Car + call out + overtime (negotiable depending on experience).
